Tillandsia setacea is a native air plant can be found from Florida up to Laurens County, Georgia. This makes Tillandsia setacea the second-most northerly occurring Tillandsia in North America. Plants have attractive thin foliage which can turn red colored with adequate light.
It naturally grows as an epiphyte on tree branches and uses moisture from the air to grow.
This plant prefers sites that mimic a costal environment via high humidity.
Cultivation Guidelines:
Light: Bright direct or indirect light.
Restricted Range: Will not survive heavy shade, long dry conditions, or frost.
