Iris verna is a beautiful native Iris found in the Eastern US! Plants spread by rhizome and leaves usually are dwarf. Plants prefer moist but well-draining soil with partial sun to shade. Native Iris are generally considered deer resistant but it is recommended to keep plants protected.
Cultivation Guidelines:
Light: Bright indirect light to shade.
Restricted Range: Will not survive soils that frequently flood.
Growing Medium: Native soil, loam soils, clay soils.
*We do not ship non-carnivorous plants west of the Mississippi.
*Standard shipping for live plants is bare root procedure. If you are located within the North Carolina Department of Agriculture's Fire Ant Quarantine zone you may qualify for potted shipping. If you would prefer potted shipments please notify us via email.
