Iris cristata - Crested Iris - Rabun County, GA - Rooted Division

Iris cristata is a beautiful native Iris found in the Eastern US! Plants spread by rhizome and leaves usually are dwarf. Plants prefer moist but well-draining soil with partial sun to shade. Native Iris are generally considered deer resistant but it is recommended to keep plants protected.   

Cultivation Guidelines:
Light: Bright indirect light to shade.
Restricted Range: Will not survive soils that frequently flood. 
Growing Medium: Native soil, loam soils, clay soils.
