Dionaea muscipula - 'Black Star' was obtained from Jeremiah Harris. This cultivar displays very nice traps which can turn deep red to almost black under bright light!
Native venus flytrap plant - Exact rooted division. These plants capture insects, and it is quite a spectacle to observe the trap mechanism close in action!
Plants prefer a mix of organic peat, sphagnum, sand, and perlite. Soil must be kept saturated.
Cultivation Guidelines:
Light: Bright direct or indirect light.
Restricted Range: Prefers bog conditions, seeps, ect. Will not tolerate extended freezing.
Growing Medium: Draining bog mix, peat, sphagnum.
